Flying with Wizz Air, October is usually the cheapest month to fly from London Luton to Split.
The most popular time to visit Split is May through September, since spring and fall are also pleasant with not much rain – most rainfall occurs in winter. The city also has warm and sunny summers, with highs of 32°C or more in July, so pack sunscreen and have water with you.
Split Airport, located on the Adriatic opposite the Split peninsula, opened a spacious new passenger terminal in July 2019. It’s 20 kilometres from downtown, via Pleso Prijevoz direct bus, or take local buses 37 or 38. In summer you can even take a high-speed ferry to Split City Port, or to Hvar or Brac islands. Look for signs to the Split Express and relax on the beach with a cocktail before departing.
