Seats now on sale from London Luton to Eilat, Grenoble, Verona and Tromsø
Wizz Air, one of Europe’s fastest growing airlines and the leading low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe, today announces the launch of four new winter routes from London Luton. The new services are to the Israeli resort town of Eilat (Ovda), the Alpine city of Grenoble in France, Verona in Italy and Tromsø, the Northern Lights viewing spot in Norway.
Seats on the new routes are now on sale and can be booked online at wizzair.com, with fares starting from just £26.99*. UK customers looking to fly to Eilat can do so from 28 October; flights to Tromsø start on 14 December; and flights to Grenoble and Verona commence on 15 December. This year, WIZZ introduced in total 12 new destinations from London Luton, including the services to Larnaca, Tirana, Tallinn, Bratislava, Lviv, Athens, Keflavik and Bari.
2018 has been a year of massive growth for Wizz Air, and these new winter routes mark the next phase of the airline’s expanded UK operations, following the launch of Wizz Air UK and the arrival of eight new Airbus aircraft at the London Luton base. In 2019, WIZZ offers from London Luton 7.9 million seats on sale to 51 destinations in 25 countries, increasing its operations with 10% year-on-year and providing exciting travel opportunities for UK customers, at truly low prices.
The second largest operator at London Luton, WIZZ has carried over 5.85 million passengers on its ultra-low fare routes from Luton in the past 12 months, representing 10% growth year on year.
