Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced two new holiday routes to attractive seaside destinations from Poland. Starting in August, the new services will connect Warsaw with Split in Croatia and Katowice with Bari in Italy. Seats on the new routes are already on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com from only PLN 79 / EUR 19.99*.
Split is a popular holiday destination on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea. As the main transport hub in the region, the city is also a link to numerous nearby islands. Croatia is a new country in Wizz Air’s Polish offer, which now consists of 24 countries.
Bari is the capital of southern Italy’s charming Apulia region, which is a popular tourist destination with sunny weather, whitewashed hill towns and a long Mediterranean coastline.
Since its first flight in 2004, Wizz Air has constantly expanded its operations in Poland. The airline has now 20 aircraft based at six Polish airports employing some 800 dedicated crew, who deliver excellent onboard service on each WIZZ flight. In 2015 Wizz Air carried more than 6 million passengers on its low fare routes supporting over 4500** local jobs.
With the two new services, Wizz Air now offers a total of 131 routes to 24 countries from its eight Polish airports.
