Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, and Euronet Worldwide, a leading global financial transaction processor today announced the launch of the WIZZ Prepaid Travel Card. The collaboration combines the experience and know-how of both companies in offering Wizz Air customers an innovative WIZZ Prepaid Travel Card product. Initially, the product will only be offered to Polish citizens who are members of the WIZZ Discount Club but will be followed by other European countries serviced by Wizz Air in the coming months.
The multi-currency WIZZ Prepaid Travel Card facilitates effective currency management for those frequently travelling within Europe. Users can add funds to the card in five pre-set currencies (EUR, GBP, PLN, NOK, SEK) and can convert the loaded funds between other currency sub-accounts. This way, all transactions can be settled in the currency of the transaction allowing cardholders to have greater control and visibility over their currency conversions.
WIZZ Prepaid Travel card holders will gain access to additional benefits such as cashback and bonus points from the Wizz Air loyalty program, cash deposits and free withdrawals through Euronet’s unique ATM network and also card-to-card transfers.
