Discover the best tourist attractions in the Podkarpackie Region!

Podkarpacie... enjoy your time here!

The landscapes here are astonishing and a new adventure is just around the corner. Podkarpacie is hospitable and perfect for couples, families with children and lone wolves. Everyone comes to hotels and bed and breakfasts, surrounded by green nature, to celebrate life. In the silence of a forest and the buzz of cities and small towns many visitors are enchanted with the diversity of the borderland.
It still amazes with its colourful traditions and tourist attractions that you can’t find anywhere else.

Here you can take a deep breath and experience the emotions you have been longing for. Perhaps that’s why residents of Podkarpackie live the longest, out of all regions in Poland. They are also very hospitable and eager to share the treasures of Podkarpacie. The Bieszczady Mountains, the Lower Beskids, the Sandomierz Forest and Roztocze proudly represent its wild nature. Hikers, yachtsmen and glider pilots can’t have enough of the landscapes. Old Orthodox churches stand right next to former magnates residences. There are springs hidden underground and the nearby health resorts have been welcoming visitors for ages. Not far away some people made their fortune from extracting oil from the first mines in the world.

RZESZÓW

Rzeszów is the biggest city in the southeast of Poland. It is the capital of the Podkarpackie Province. Its location, good access to routes, and diverse hotel infrastructure make it the perfect starting point for longer trips. If you are heading to Podkarpacie, make sure you stop by in this city to see interesting sights, visit one of its many restaurants or places of entertainment.

The city has become a hub of IT, commercial, chemical, construction and aviation industries. It is also home to academic, cultural, economic and leisure centres in the southeast of Poland.

It has over 220 000 residents and is the leader in the European Union, when it comes to the number of students (there are 353 students per 1 000 residents). The average age of the residents is 39.

Rzeszów is also home to the Aviation Valley, the largest aviation cluster in Poland (it comprises over 150 companies; the biggest one is the former “PZL Rzeszów” Transportation Equipment Factory, currently: Pratt & Whitney Rzeszów). Companies from the chemical, IT and packaging industries also develop their businesses in the city.
It is home to the headquarters of Nestlé, Bosh and Asseco Poland S.A.

So, come and visit. To get hand-made glassware from Krosno, a wicker basket from Rudnik nad Sanem or a bottle of fine wine from one of 160 vineyards located here. Or to make a wish while watching a falling star in the “Bieszczady” Starry Sky Park. It is the best place to see the most beautiful stars twinkling at visitors.
