Check-in process

If you have booked your flight and the travel date is approaching, you would need to perform some actions beforehand. This preparation includes check-in (the signal of intention to fly) and receiving a boarding card (the ticket that allows you to board the plane).

TO BOARD YOUR FLIGHT:

  1. Check in online on our website, using the WIZZ mobile app, or at the airport.
  2. Print or download your boarding card.
  3. If you have checked baggage to drop off, visit the baggage drop desk in advance. Check-in and baggage drop-off times can be found in the Check-in and Baggage Drop-off Times section.
  4. If you hold non-EU travel documents, please proceed to the check-in counter to have your documentation checked and your boarding card stamped.
  5. Present the boarding card, along with your travel documents, at the gate no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Free Check-In is Available Online:

You can access our free check-in service online on our website or via your WIZZ Account on our mobile app.

Online check-in is available from 30 days up to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time if you have purchased a seat during your booking. In case you have not purchased any seats with your booking, check-in will become available only 24 hours before departure.

When you check in online, you can:

  • Download and print your boarding card.
  • Access it anytime via the app.
  • Save your boarding card to your phone's Wallet.

Please note: Some airports do not yet support mobile boarding passes. In such cases, a mobile boarding pass will not be generated. You will need to visit wizzair.com to retrieve your reservation and print your boarding card.

For passengers with children under 14 years old:

Children under 14 years need to be accompanied and checked in online by a passenger older than 16 years.

Travel within the Schengen area:

If you are traveling within the Schengen area, you do not need to provide travel document details during the online check-in procedure, as such information is not required.

If you check in with the app, you have the following options:

  • retrieve your boarding pass via the app when your phone is connected to the internet
  • visit wizzair.com from your mobile's browser, enter your flight confirmation code and print your boarding pass
  • If you are using iOS operating system, you can also save your boarding card to the Wallet

Some airports do not yet support mobile boarding passes. In such cases, a mobile boarding pass will not be generated and you will need to visit wizzair.com, retrieve your reservation and print your boarding card.

If you prefer not to check-in online for free, you have the option to check in at the airport for a fee.

Airport check-in can be purchased:

  • At the time of booking
  • After booking on your flight summary page
  • At the airport

Please note that in the following airports, online check-in is not available, and airport check-in is free of charge:

  • Agadir Al Massira
  • Airport Corfu
  • Marrakesh Menara Airport
  • Moscow
  • Zaragoza

  • Simplify your check-in process with Wizz Air's "Auto Check-in" service. We automatically check in you and all passengers in your booking 50 hours before your scheduled departure time.
  • Once checked in, your boarding cards will be sent directly to your email.
  • You can add the Auto Check-in service at any time, up to 4 hours before your flight. You can add the Auto Check-in service at any time, up to 4 hours before your flight, for a fee.
  • Note that Auto Check-in must be completed for each section of your flight and for each individual passenger if your booking includes more than one person.
  • Auto Check-in covers each section of your flight and all passengers in your booking, even if there's more than one person.
  • To benefit from Auto Check-in, provide your contact phone number for Schengen zone travel and submit your travel documents for non-Schengen zone travel.

Changes and Refunds

  • If you've purchased Auto Check-in but checked in manually, please note that no refunds are available.
  • If you change your flight, you can still use Auto Check-in if your departure airport supports online check-in. If the new destination requires airport check-in, the Auto Check-in fee is non-refundable.
  • In case of flight cancellation, the Auto Check-in service fee may be refundable.
  • Cancellation of your flight more than 14 days before departure entitles you to a refund of your Auto Check-in fee. Unfortunately, no refund is available for cancellations made within 14 days of departure.
