Children's baggage

Baggage allowances for children and infants may vary based on the passenger's age category. Passengers aged over 14 years are classified as adults and are subject to the general baggage policy.

  • Children's baggage allowance aligns with the general policy.
  • All passengers, including children aged 2 to 14 years, are entitled to bring one free carry-on bag on board with dimensions of up to 40x30x20 cm.
  • Passengers, including children, who have purchased WIZZ Priority, can bring an additional trolley bag measuring up to 55x40x23 cm.
  • A foldable baby pushchair, pram, foldable travel cot, or car seat for a child over 2 years old can be checked in free of charge. However, they can only be taken until the aircraft door or steps, where they will then be stowed in the aircraft hold. These items will be tagged either at the check-in desk, baggage drop-off desk, or at the boarding gate. Please note that a booster seat is not permitted to be taken on board and will be treated as additional luggage, subject to applicable charges.

If a child is not traveling, all the aforementioned items will be considered as extra luggage and may be subject to additional charges, regardless of the purchase of the respective child's ticket.

If you travel with a baby, you can take the following items onboard free of charge:

  • One additional personal item (40 x 30 x 20 cm, maximum weight 10 kg), it will be considered infant’s luggage.
  • Food sufficient for the duration of the flight
  • A foldable baby pushchair, pram, foldable travel cot, or a car seat. Note, these items can be taken until the aircraft door or steps, where they will then be stowed in the aircraft hold. They will be tagged either at the check-in desk, baggage drop-off desk, or at the boarding gate.

Please note that infants do not have additional baggage allowance. This means no trolley bag or checked-in baggage can be purchased under an infant’s name. If an infant is not traveling, all the aforementioned items will be considered as extra luggage and may be subject to additional charges, even if the respective infant's ticket was purchased.

Baby traveling in a car seat onboard

For a more comfortable travel experience for your baby, it is recommended to bring a car seat on board. This can be arranged by purchasing an additional seat (extra seat) at the normal fare. If an extra seat is booked, there is no need to pay an infant fee. Please note that additional infant baggage allowance is not applicable. For more details, refer to the Seating with Children page.

Extra recommended items to bring onboard

For the convenience of the baby and other passengers, it is advisable to bring the following additional items onboard:

  • Food and drinks for the baby, packed in compliance with safety regulations
  • A change of clothes for both you and your baby
  • Extra pacifiers (if your child uses them)
  • Baby wipes
  • One diaper for every hour of your journey
  • Small toys
