Seating with children

  • Children aged 2 years and above are required to have their separate seat during the flight.
  • Infants aged between 14 days and 2 years have the option to travel on their parent's lap for a fee. Please note that only one infant is permitted to travel on one accompanying adult's lap. Alternatively, infants can occupy a separate seat in a car seat. For more information, please refer to Seats for infant section of this page.

During the check-in process, the adult and the child will automatically be assigned seats next to each other. Please note that the entire family might not be seated together, as the child will be seated next to one of the adults.

To ensure seats together for the entire family, we recommend selecting seats during the booking process or at check-in. Purchased seats also enable passengers to check-in up to 30 days before the flight. For more details, please refer to the Seating policy section.

If a seat is not automatically allocated, please contact our Live Chat agents for assistance.

For the child's comfort, a baby car seat can be brought on board free of charge.

An infant doesn't have an assigned seat and should travel on the parent’s lap.

For added comfort during travel, bringing a car seat on board is recommended. This can be arranged by purchasing an additional seat at the regular fare. If an extra seat is booked, the infant fee is not applicable. Please note that additional infant baggage allowance does not apply in this case.

Car Seat Safety Requirements:

  • Only rear-facing car seats for children are permitted on board.
  • Car seats must be equipped with a latch to securely fasten them using the passenger seat belt.
  • The loop belt provided by Wizz Air must be used during take-off, landing, and whenever the seat belt sign is on. This loop belt will be provided during boarding and must be returned after the flight.
  • Infant car seats should be placed on a window seat. The seat next to the infant car seat must be occupied by the parent or accompanying adult (a physically capable person of at least 16 years old).
  • Infant car seats cannot be placed in emergency exit rows or in rows immediately in front of or behind emergency exit rows.
