Wizz Air, EMEA’s most environmentally sustainable airline*, is proud to have made the top 10 safest low-cost airlines in the world list for a second year running by AirlineRatings.com.
AirlineRatings.com is the world’s only airline safety and product rating website and has announced its Top 10 Safest Low-Cost Airlines for 2025 from the 385 airlines it monitors. Wizz Air has joined the top 10 globally once again.
The Top 10 Safest Low-Cost Airlines for 2025 in order are:

- Jetstar Group
- Ryanair
- easyJet
- Frontier Airlines
- AirAsia
- Wizz Air
- VietJet Air
- Southwest Airlines
- Volaris
The airlines have been graded by consultations with check pilots and aviation experts, taking into account factors such as fleet age, fleet size, rate of incidents, fatalities, IOSA certification, ICAO country audit pass and pilot skill and training.
Wizz Air has one of the youngest and most efficient fleets in the industry. Over 60% of its fleet of 225 aircraft are ultra-efficient Airbus A321neo, which are capable of reducing fuel consumption by 20% per flight. These aircraft are also among the safest and most high-tech in the industry.
