We would like to inform our passengers travelling to and from London Luton airport over the weekend that due to heavy roadworks major traffic congestions are expected. Please allow sufficient time for your journey to the airport.

Please see below details of the planned road closures for the M1 J10a Improvements Scheme.

M1 Spur & New Airport Way

Full Weekend closure of Westbound A1081 New Airport Way up to M1 westbound on slip. From Friday 20th March at 20.00 to Monday 23rd March at 06.00.

M1 Junction 10
Southbound exit slip road

Overnight closure of M1 J10 southbound exit slip road. Overnight on Monday 23rd March from 20.00 to 06.00 and overnight on Tuesday 24th March from 20.00 to 06.00. Diversion route to M1 J9 and return M1 northbound to J10.

Please note this information is provided in good faith however, is subject to change depending on the effects of adverse weather and progress of the works.
Motorists are advised to follow the signed diversion routes and allow extra time for their journeys. Drivers are additionally notified of a 30mph speed limit, narrow lanes and contraflows throughout the area which have been in effect since 4 March will continue throughout the 70-week programme.
