HUNGARIAN TEAM WINS UNLIMITED TRAVEL FOR 1 YEAR IN WIZZ NETWORK
Wizz Air, one of Europe’s fastest growing airlines and the leading low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe, is announcing the winners of the second edition of the WIZZ Youth Challenge. During this international case competition, university and college students showcase their potential and come up with innovative, out-of-the-box ideas in response to a business challenge set by the company.
During the live Semi-Finals and Finals, organized in Budapest between 9 and 10 May 2018, the best 24 teams were invited to present their inspiring projects to a jury of Wizz Air senior management and external experts. In total, teams from over 170 universities across 31 different countries registered to participate in the competition and submitted 200 valid case solutions.
The winners of the second edition WIZZ Youth Challenge are the Hungarian Team TakeOff, awarded with a year of unlimited travel on the WIZZ network. Other teams that qualified for the final top 8 of the competition were from Denmark, the UK, Israel, Slovenia and Ukraine.
“When we heard about the WIZZ Youth Challenge, we immediately knew that this was a one-of-a-kind opportunity that we didn’t want to miss. We really enjoyed the whole experience. It was a pleasure to meet such inspiring, motivating people from the other teams, and getting valuable feedback from the management of Wizz Air definitely had a great impact on us. We can’t wait to travel all across Europe with Wizz Air and we hope that our collaboration will go beyond this experience in the future”, said the winners, Team TakeOff from Hungary.
