FIRST PRIZE: UNLIMITED TRAVEL FOR 1 YEAR IN WIZZ NETWORK
Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and one of the fastest growing airlines in Europe, today announced the launch of the second edition of the WIZZ Youth Challenge, an international case competition which allows university and college students to showcase their potential and come up with innovative, out-of-the-box ideas in response to a business challenge set by the company.
Participants in the WIZZ Youth Challenge will gain professional experience, learn more about the business behind one of Europe’s fastest growing airlines and, if shortlisted, present their concept to senior aviation professionals from the WIZZ team at a live event in Budapest. The winners of the competition will be rewarded with the opportunity to travel free for an entire year on the WIZZ network, currently offering more than 600 routes, connecting 145 destinations from 44 countries, while the second and third placed teams will receive free return tickets – great to use for the holiday of their dreams or to further their studies abroad.
As of today until 25 March 2018, active BA/BSc or MA/MSc students at a university or college in the WIZZ network* can register for the competition at www.wizzyouthchallenge.com. All registered teams will receive the case study and detailed guidelines and background materials on 26 March 2018 and will need to submit their response by 16 April 2018. The teams with the best case studies will be invited to participate in the live event organized in Budapest on 9 and 10 May 2018.

Owain Jones, Chief Corporate Officer at Wizz Air said: “The first WIZZ Youth Challenge competition was a huge success, with more than 400 submitted case studies and a fantastic live final in Budapest. We’re very excited to launch the second WIZZ Youth Challenge, allowing some of Europe’s brightest young minds to prove their skills and creativity as they develop a plan to respond to a real-life business case. At Wizz Air, we’re proud of the opportunities we create for people, whether for our passengers who enjoy travelling on our extensive low fare network on board one of Europe’s youngest fleets, for each dedicated colleague in the WIZZ team to develop their career or for young talented people to share their ideas with us and gain fantastic professional experience. As one of the fastest growing airlines in Europe, Wizz Air is delighted to engage with the thought leaders of tomorrow and we are looking forward to hear the great ideas of the young generation from across Europe during the live event in Budapest.”
