Wizz Air launches today twice-weekly flights between its base at Cluj-Napoca and Munich Memmingen in Bavaria. Wizz Air announced the route last September as part of its 2016 Summer Schedule.
Wizz is now operating the flights on Mondays and Fridays between Cluj-Napoca and Munich’s western regional airport at Memmingen. Fares start at €24.99/RON109.
Wizz Air has continued to expand in Cluj-Napoca through the years and will add a fifth aircraft at the base in July. The summer schedule from Cluj-Napoca includes flights to Alicante, Billund, Doncaster/Sheffield and Berlin, all beginning in coming weeks. Wizz Air also recently announced a new domestic Romanian route between Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest that will begin July 22 and operate six times a week.
Growth for Wizz Air spans the whole of Romania with traffic increasing 16 percent in 2015 over the previous year. Wizz Air will open its sixth Romanian base in July in Iasi and currently offers 110 routes to 16 countries.
