Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, is joining with CTC Aviation in an airline career roadshow to Bucharest, Budapest and Warsaw to attract candidates for the new WIZZ cadet pilot program announced last month.
“WIZZ is excited to support this roadshow that offers an incredible opportunity to people in Central Europe who have dreamed of a career as an airline pilot – more importantly, a WIZZ pilot,” said David Morgan, WIZZ chief pilot, who will make a presentation and answer questions from potential candidates in each city. “The primary benefit of this training program is a guaranteed job as a WIZZ co-pilot once the trainee successfully completes the course.”
WIZZ joined with CTC Aviation and the Central European Flight Academy to create an airline cadet pilot program. WIZZ and CTC Aviation will launch the roadshow to present the program to interested candidates and their families.
The sessions scheduled are:
9 June Bucharest Angelo Airporthotel
10 June Budapest Skycourt Conference Centre
12 June Warsaw Courtyard Warsaw Airport
Each session runs from 1600 to 2100 with presentations starting at 1630 and 1900, followed by question-and-answer sessions with WIZZ pilots and CTC Aviation pilot careers advisors.
Candidates chosen for the cadet program will be offered a conditional offer of a contract of employment as a WIZZ First Officer on successful completion of training. The ab initio training program takes trainees from having little or no experience, to the first officer’s seat of a WIZZ Airbus A320 or A321 aircraft. Applicants also have the opportunity to express a preference as to whether they complete their flight training at CTC Aviation’s next-generation training center in New Zealand or Phoenix in the United States.
