CUSTOMERS’ TRAVEL EXPERIENCE TO BENEFIT FROM THEMED AUDIO CITY GUIDES FOR SMART PHONES
Wizz Air, the largest low-cost, low-fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced a new partnership with PocketGuide Inc. and launched a further innovative offer for its consumers. From 12th October Wizz Air will offer the PocketGuide app, worldwide market leader amongst audio travel applications, to passengers travelling on Wizz Air’s low fares.
The award winning travel app PocketGuide provides audio tours and insider hangouts of Wizz Air’s exciting travel destinations. Wizz Air passengers can download the app before their trip on both iPhones and Android phones and enjoy their personal guided tour experience upon arrival without roaming charges. PocketGuide is the only application on the market that guides users through the city just like a real tour guide by voice navigations, providing interesting local stories on the way. During the trip users can take pictures, make comments and with one click the app creates a 3 D video of their experiences on the way. The tours are developed by knowledgeable local tour guides to make sure Wizz Air customers get to know all the hidden gems and must-see sights of their chosen destination.
Daniel de Carvalho, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, said: “For Wizz Air passengers there will be no more getting lost, as the new PocketGuide app available on our website provides customers with an offline map enriched with high quality tours. The PocketGuide app is free, users only have to pay for the content. One tour costs €2.5 and a full city tour package is available from just €5. After the tours are downloaded, the app works in offline mode to prevent users from roaming costs. For a limited time only, Wizz Air customers can enjoy one sightseeing tour of their choice free of charge. Passengers can choose from a wide range of tours in 85 destinations across the world.
