Set on the Adriatic Sea, beautiful Montenegro enjoys the Mediterranean climate of its neighbours, a rich history shared with the region and a charm all of its own!
Why Visit Montenegro
Montenegro has a long history of being a tourist hot spot, with its popularity dampened only by political unrest. In modern times, Montenegro has begun to win back its crown, and a trip to this sunny destination is essential for any globetrotter, beach-lover or outdoor enthusiast.
Must-See Montenegro
The Bay of Kotor is an essential destination, at least for a day, and is one of the most beautiful sights in the country, from its stunning landscapes to the towns dotted along the area, a UNESCO-protected site. Another UNESCO site is the Tara River Canyon, the second longest in the world, located in Durmitor National Park. Here, bears and wolves can sometimes be spotted.
Montenegro’s Most Exclusive Island
Sveti Stefan, if you can get access, is one of the most iconic parts of the country. Once a village set out at sea, it has been joined to the mainland by a road and transformed into a 5-star resort. Non-guests of the hotels are not permitted entry but it still makes for a lovely sight from the coast.
