Wizz Air Ukraine, the first Ukrainian low fare – low cost airline announced today that it would open flights from Kiev Boryspil to Dortmund and Cologne (Germany), and from Lviv to Dortmund and London Luton. The flights will be launched as of 15 January 2009. The new routes will be served by the second brand new Airbus A320 aircraft to be delivered in the first days of January 2009.

Wizz Air Ukraine will be the only airline to link Dortmund and Cologne with the Ukrainian capital and Lviv with Germany and the UK offering low fares, convenient and easy travel to many hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians working and studying abroad. Now they can travel home or have their families visiting them more often. At the same time Wizz Air Ukraine will attract many German and British passengers who already know the Wizz brand and now they can enjoy the low fares and reliable services to discover the many beauties of Ukraine.

‘We are extremely pleased to make Ukraine just as accessible as any other European country to many millions of European travellers. Ukrainian passengers responded very well to Wizz Air’s low fares and service standards on our domestic services and they were long looking forward to our international flights. The new international routes will expand the horizons of many millions of Ukrainian and Western European travellers and open doors that were closed before and vigorously guarded by the high fare monopolists.”- said Natasa Kázmér, Director of the Board of Wizz Air Ukraine.
