Barcelona - Girona

Barcelona can be reached easily with the transfer bus. The ride to Barcelona takes 1hour 10 minutes and the return ticket costs € 19.-. We recommend you to take the bus at least 3 hours prior to departure time. The bus service is timed to Wizz Air flights.

The ticket desk at Girona Airport is located in an office at the passageway which leads to the arrivals hall and the main terminal building. In Barcelona, the ticket office is located at the drop off point, Estació del Nord central bus stations. There are many underground and coach connections to most areas of the city.

By car

Girona airport is situated near the A7 motorway about 12 kilometres from the city of Gerona and can easily be reached . Its principal function is to serve the holiday resorts of COSTA BRAVA.

By bus

There is a direct transfer bus from Girona airport to Barcelona (Estació del Nord central bus station). The journey takes 1 hour and 10 minutes and the cost for the ticket is € 11.-one way while the return ticket costs € 19.-. We recommend you to take the bus at least 3 hours prior to departure time.

There is also special daily bus service from Girona Airport which connects the Airport with Girona. Busses are leaving every hour and the journey takes 20 minutes. The single ticket is € 1,75, while the return one costs € 3,30.

Railway

Trains from Girona operate frequent services to and from Barcelona, as well as to other major cities across Spain and Europe. The journey takes 80 minutes and tickets are available around € 6.-. Additional information on the timetable and prices is available here.

Taxis

The taxi-stand is located directly in front of the arrival hall outside the terminal building . Costs for the ride should be as follows: Girona, € 15; Playa D'Aro, € 35; Lloret de Mar, € 35; Rosas, € 67; and L'Estartit, € 55.
