Important information for passengers traveling from London Luton airport!

We strongly advise our passengers to plan with sufficient travel time to London Luton Airport as significant increase of traffic may occur on airport acces roads.
Check-in for your flight closes sharply at the time indicated (40 minutes before scheduled departure time), after this time we can not accept passengers for check-in.

TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF FLIGHTS FROM VENICE TREVISO TO VENICE MARCO POLO AIRPORT DUE TO RUNWAY WORKS

Due to runway works Venice Treviso Airport will be closed from the 1st June until 4th December 2011. During this period all Wizz Air flights will operate from/to Venice Marco Polo International Airport. The airport is located 30 km southeast from Treviso airport. Passengers holding reservation to/from Venice Treviso (TSF) airport within the above mentioned period will receive an email about further details. For new reservations to Venice in this period please start booking selecting “Venice Marco Polo (VCE)” or “Venice all airports (VEL)” option.

Important information about UK Maestro and Solo debit cards payments

Accordingly to the ongoing withdrawal of UK Maestro and UK Solo debit cards Wizz Air will stop accepting these cards as of 4 December 2010.
Payments with UK Maestro and UK Solo will only be accepted until 3 December 2010.
Wizz Air will continue to accept payments with VISA, MasterCard, UATP and Wizz Air co-branded cards (currently only available in Hungary and Romania).

Security regulations on hand baggage for all passengers departing from EU airports

Passengers are allowed to carry only one piece of hand luggage. This one piece of luggage includes handbags, computers cases, umbrellas, shopping bags, cameras etc. Passengers carrying more than one piece of hand luggage will not be allowed to proceed through security and will be required to go back to the check in desk, repack or dispose of the additional pieces of hand luggage.
Passengers may only carry liquids, gels and aerosols in their hand baggage in small units (max. 100 ml per container). The packaging of these products must also meet specific requirements. This applies for all passengers departing from airports within the European Union. Rules regarding checked-in baggage remain unchanged.
The rules apply for liquids such as water and other soft drinks, but also extend to gels, pastes, lotions, and aerosols. This includes toiletries such as toothpaste, shaving cream, hair gel, lip gloss, and facial creams.
The following rules apply for liquids in hand baggage:
  • You are only allowed to carry liquids and gels in containers of a volume of 100 ml or less;
  • You may carry more than one container but they must fit in one transparent plastic bag;
  • The volume of the transparent plastic bag may not exceed 1 litre;
  • Each passenger may only carry one such transparent plastic bag;
  • The transparent plastic bag must be re-sealable (any bag that can be closed again after opening – this may be by means of "ziplok", ties, string or even tying the bag into a knot, provided that a person can also open it easily).
Two exceptions will be made:
  • baby food that is required during the flight;
  • medication that is required during the flight
You will still be allowed to make (tax-free) purchases at European airports after passing through passport control and aboard flights operated by European airlines. Liquids and gels that you purchase after passing through passport control or aboard the aircraft will be packed and sealed for you in the shop or on board, if necessary. The package seal will remain valid for 24 hours.

Separate presentation of contents

When passing through security control, you will be required to present all liquids separately. The transparent plastic bag should be sealed and easily re-sealable. You are also required to separately present your coat, jacket and larger electrical equipment, such as laptops, when passing through security control.
